קפילא

קְפֵילָא, קְפֵילָהm. (κάπηλος) huckster, dealer in victuals; tavern-keeper. Y.B. Mets.V, 10c bot. יהב חד דינר לק׳ ונסב מיניה בשער זלילהוכ׳ (not בשעה) advanced one denar to a huckster and received all he bought of him at the lowest prices of the entire year. Lev.
